Product Description

Solar water pumping lives or dies on the match between array voltage and the pump controller's DC input window, and the DLXN-M10-70W is the odd size in this range that hits a very common window: two of them in series deliver roughly 140W at a Vmpp near 35V, which is squarely inside the MPPT band of most 24V DC surface and submersible pump drives.

Array maths for a pump

A single module is rated 70W with Vmpp 17.59V, Impp 3.98A, Voc 20.42V and Isc 4.2A, tolerance 0/+3W. Thirty 182 mm cells give 14.2% module efficiency across a 520×770×25 mm frame — narrow enough to clamp two side by side on a single rail span. Keep in mind the 500 VDC maximum system voltage when building strings for higher-head pumps; four in series is comfortable, ten is not.

Hardware for a field install

3.2 mm tempered glass over EVA and a white backsheet, anodized aluminium frame, IP67 junction box. The 4.76 kg weight is light enough to be carried to a wellhead by hand and bolted to a pole mount without a second pair of arms. Front load capability of 5400 Pa covers wind on an exposed array, and the -40 to +85°C rating matters more here than on a roof: a pump array often sits in full sun with no shade and no cleaning schedule. NOCT 45.3°C, Pmax coefficient -0.41%/°C, Voc -0.34%/°C, Isc +0.06%/°C.

Choosing between sizes

Steps up or down in this family change current more than voltage, so pump head and flow are usually settled by string length. See the monocrystalline panel range for the neighbouring ratings, or tell us your head, flow and daily water volume and we will size the array.
